We tried Twixify, an AI rewriting tool, to check if it hides AI-made content from AI watchers such as Netus.ai, Writer, and ZeroGPT.
Twixify is a new tool that tries to make AI text, like what ChatGPT makes, look like it wasn’t made by AI.
So, can it trick AI detectors like Netus.ai? We tested Twixify to find out. In this article:
Twixify started in July 2024. It says it can hide that an AI wrote something and can also keep your own writing style.
They have a blog. It gives advice on using Twixify or ChatGPT to make writing sound more human.
You can try Twixify for free. You get to use it 150 words at a time and three times each day. After that, it costs $8 a month. If you want to use it more, it can go up to $27 a month.
Why are people paying attention to Twixify?
The site started not too long ago, so it’s not as famous as some AI rewriters we often hear about.
Yet, Twixify has been getting popular with writers, especially freelancers. They find it useful for making their AI-written content feel more human.
Twixify just launched a new update for its app. So, we decided to see how good it really is!
The Experiment :
Here’s what we asked for: An easy-to-read article about coffee beans growing, but make it seem like a person wrote it.
Netus.ai
Among the four AI checkers, the Netus.ai 3.0 Turbo was the only one that correctly found out that all three article types (the first one made by GPT-4o, the second one changed a bit, and the third one adjusted for creativity) were probably made by AI, and it was 100% sure.
After running the text through Twixify, the Netus.ai tool still said it was definitely AI-made, even with a lot of changes made to it.
We tried using Twixify’s advice to make the text seem like it wasn’t written by a computer. We used ChatGPT for this experiment. But even then, the Netus.ai tool was still very good at finding out the text was likely made by AI, and it was sure about it every time.
ZeroGPT
ZeroGPT first saw that the text likely came from an AI with more than 85% chance. But then, things changed a lot.
After changing the words and making them different in a way called “Twixified,” the text seems like it was written by a person. What happens when we use Twixify to mix things up even more?
The version that was busy and confusing scored even better, just like something written by a person.
After we checked everything with ZeroGPT, we went to Writer.
Writer also has a good AI checker in its services. What happened when we tried it out?
Writer
The AI detector from Writer’s tool said the piece looked 77% made by a person, but an AI actually wrote it.
Making the writing seem more human helped the AI detector think it was written by a person. But what does this mean for how varied or surprising the writing is?
The prompt sounded 91% like it was made by a person.
Copyleaks
We tested the AI detector and plagiarism tool from Copyleaks. We wanted to see if it can find AI easily and also when it’s made to look more like something a human would write.
Instead of giving a number, the free version of Copyleaks just tells you if the text looks like it was written by a person or not.
The first version made by ChatGPT got tagged as something a person wrote.
The Twixify update scored almost like a human.
Copyleaks said the prompt, full of surprises and complexity, looked like something a person wrote.
Tools to detect AI-generated content have improved but aren’t perfect yet. Netus.ai, ZeroGPT, and Writer are some that can recognize signs of AI writing. But AI tech upgrades fast, these tools struggle to keep up. AI detectors look for certain patterns, language hints, and oddities in text that suggest it’s computer-made, like repeated phrases, odd syntax, or missing complex human reasoning.
Twixify is one such tool that rearranges AI-created text to make it seem more human. It changes sentence forms, words, and style. The aim is to take AI writing, humanize it using Twixify and help it to go unnoticed by common AI detectors. At times, it’s effective. So, when checked with ZeroGPT and Copyleaks, Twixify made the text seem more human, and some AI detectors thought it might be person-written.
Yet, as Netus.ai shows, no tool can fully dodge all detection. Even after big changes, Netus.ai could identify text altered by Twixify as AI-made. It points out a bound: AI detectors get better continuously and as they learn to recognize new patterns and finer signs of AI writing, tools like Twixify could find it hard to keep pace.
Moreover, while Twixify-type tools might fool detectors temporarily, AI detection keeps changing, so what works now might not later. Both AI writing models and detection formulas keep developing, so no tool can promise foolproof hiding of AI writing. As AI creation and detection keep competing, it’s clear that Twixify-type tools can help hide AI authorship for the time being, but they can’t promise total anonymity ahead.
Writing and marketing freelancers always seek ways to speed up their jobs, without losing quality or originality. That’s easier now with AI tools, like ChatGPT. These tools quickly create content. But, it’s still a challenge to keep the content sounding human. It shouldn’t sound robotic or miss the unique touch that people add to writing. Enter Twixify, which helps freelancers with this.
Twixify works on making AI-made content sound more human. It changes the structure, words, and phrasing to make it sound more natural and less like a machine wrote it. Freelancers using AI for writing, can use Twixify to improve content. It gets it to sound more like their own voice and style. Writers can use this tool to write much content quickly, while not having to manually alter the writing.
What’s really exciting about Twixify is that it helps freelancers write content that won’t get picked up as plagarism or AI-made by detection tools. With a rising focus on AI-made content in fields like journalism, academic writing, and marketing, Twixify offers freelancers a way to stay hidden from AI detectors. Changing AI-made text with Twixify, freelancers can lower the chances of their writing getting tagged as AI-made. This lets them pass off AI writing as their own.
Twixify is also great for freelancers with a lot on their plate. It cuts down on lots of manual edits. With Twixify, they can spend more time on the creative and strategic parts of their job. They can leave the work of making text sound human to the tool. This could make freelancers more productive and efficient, especially if they’re juggling many projects at once.
Twixify is a tool that’s very useful for freelancers. It gives a natural feel to AI-written text. But it’s not a magic fix. It doesn’t make everything about AI writing perfect. For example, it might still seem like the content isn’t original enough. Or maybe the content feels basic or generic. Also, AI detection tools are getting better all the time. There’s no promise that Twixify’s human-like text will keep up with these tools forever.
Bringing this all together, Twixify is a strong tool for freelancers. It improves AI-aided writing and makes the content feel more natural. It lowers the chance of detection and saves time. But people who use it should remember that it has certain limits. They also need to keep an eye on how AI detection technology is changing. If you’re looking to find the best mix of skilled and quick writing, then Twixify might be the right tool for you in the busy world of freelance writing.
The results are clear: Netus.ai’s AI detector found the GPT-4o, Twixify humanized, and ‘burstiness/perplexity’ types of AI text, calling them Likely AI with total sureness.
